Who's Having More Fun?

Sean was surprised when he received the new Millenium Falcon Lego set from Nana and Papaw for his birthday.  He immediately wanted to start on it that night.
Jon limited him to 3 bags a day to help him enjoy the project longer.  That created lots of moaning when he flew through the bags every day.  He needed Jon's help on the last day, especially with the stickers, which he had been putting on slightly crooked.  Jon doesn't seem to mind helping does he?  ;)  It's fun having big boys with big boy toys ;)

Finished and proud!
He was trying to tell Jack to get out of the picture with his mouth closed, lol
He asked me to take pictures of it open and with the figures posed, then kept asking for more poses of him with it and where he was going to display it in his room, so sorry, but here's picture overload!

Ahh, also--speaking of fun--the kids got a zipline from Nana and Papaw as well and Jon installed it yesterday.  I took these videos of the kids trying it out.  He's planning to make a longer zipline in the future- this one is only 35 feet, but perfect for the smaller kids, so we can keep both of them up once he gets the other one planned out.   He built a small ramp with a platform at the top so Brilee and Jack can reach the handlebars all by themselves, but it was dark by that time and I didn't get any pictures.  But it's perfect for them and they are super excited!

Sean's Minecraft 9th Birthday Party

With Sean's birthday falling right between Christmas and New Year, it's always a little more tricky to celebrate, but we purposefully want to make it special for him.  We had over our family, including my parents in town for this birthday!  And a couple of friends over.  We had a great time celebrating his 9 years with us.
He told me exactly how he wanted his cake decorated.  Complete with a little garden in the front.

I grabbed these free printable food cards off pinterest just today.  How's that for last minute?!
Square pretzel TNT...I know, I know...they aren't red....
 Gold (cheese puffs)
We had BBQ sliders for dinner, so the Pig card was perfect, lol ;)
 Slimeballs, aka peas
 Cake...Cake
Redstone jello jigglers.  I could have gone with strawberries, but that would have required another trip to the store.

Apples...they aren't golden, but I think Fuji are close enough!
 Carrots as themselves

 Diamonds....Ice
Sprite--potion of healing...or something like that.  You'd have to ask the kids what it does in the game...
Minecraft Bingo...also last minute...also really fun!
My pathetic attempt at chalk drawing in Minecraft font...
 Happy Birthday banner

 Pure shock and awe
He was so surprised he got the Millenium Falcon Lego set from Nana and Papaw
I'm 99.9% sure he'll have it finished tomorrow...

Luke also had a few gifts since we couldn't celebrate his family with the whole family earlier in the month.
I loved him smiling as he read each card.
Jack was crying for presents too (Christmas withdrawal?)  So he helped Luke open his gifts.

Grandpa wrapped this one with lots of tape!

He toppled off this about 2 seconds after this picture.
 Brotherly love
Youngest and oldest both with December birthdays <3 p="">
