Lilly's Birthday Party

We started the day Saturday with our traditional family birthday treat:  Krispy Kreme!
Lilly didn't want to wear a hat but Brilee loved it
Devouring their favorite: chocolate with sprinkles
Lilly kept saying all morning, "I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M 5!!!!"

Jack missed out on the doughnuts but had his favorite: blueberries & bananas :)
We had a "spa party" theme where the girls got their nails painted

They got to choose their color and had jewels or fingernail stickers to put on too

Getting ready to blow out candles

Our phones do an "auto awesome" video where it puts all the pics from a series together into a moving clip- Awesome!
Eating cake without ice cream that mommy forgot to buy :/
I think Mr. Niel must have been doing something funny that they were looking at...
Cute Adaline

 Opening gifts
 She loves her pillow pet

This was mommy's special present to her
A necklace I got when I was 5 that is a teddy bear with the words "I'm 5" on it...
She let me put it on and immediately said, "It's too small!  Take it off!!" :(  I need to find a chain lengthener, even though it really fits her at the right place.  I think she just wants to be able to look at it better when it's on.

Sean gave her a hair bow he picked out himself at the Southern Christmas Show.  She loves it :)
These are the priceless moments <3 data-blogger-escaped-p="">

 Guess what Sean drew?!?  A dinosaur...who would've thought?  :)

We had such a fun special day celebrating 5 years with a special little girl!  Her birthday is always the "kick off" to our holiday season!  Next up is Christmas events, then Sean's 7th birthday December 29, then our 13th anniversary on January 6th!  Oh, and Jack's 1st birthday on February 1st!  It will be here too soon!!

Lilly Anne is 5!!

Something just happened on my phone that wiped out the changes I made to this post last night on the computer :(  So, not going to try to re-type everything, just enjoy the pictures!

November 16, 2008 6lbs, 15oz
Lilly made her entrance in the world 2 days late...
And I had barely made it to the hospital in time at 8-9 cm already.  The nurses told me I didn't have enough time to get an epidural, but I was not prepared to go med free, so I started freaking out begging and pleading!  Somehow they managed to get it in, but it wasn't working by the time she was born so the doctor said I could say I gave birth without pain meds ;)

As soon as we found out Lilly was a girl, I was determined she wouldn't own anything pink (haha) so I bought as much purple, blue, teal, green, etc as I could!

Intently gazing with daddy

This was the afternoon after my first day back to work.  I remember being so happy to hold them close <3

Classic Lilly smile-she still looks exactly like this but with longer hair!
This was the first pink item I purchased for Lilly myself...It was a $2 Gap dress from the consignment shop, so it broke my pink boycott :)

4th birthday

Lilly was the first of the kids to see Jack when they came to visit at the hospital.  The others were too interested in the cool "things" in the room, but she made a bee line straight to his bassinet and loved looking at his tiny little self <3

She is such a sweet big sister and LOVES holding Jack (even now at 9 months old she can't get enough of him)

Everyone says that Jack looks like Sean, but I think he looks most like Lilly.  I can tell they are a lot a like in personality too :)
Locking eyes with big sister <3
She couldn't hold him tight enough, haha  (I look just a wee bit tired!)

Happy birthday to our very sweet princess, Lilly Anne.  I never imagined I would ever have a little girl as sweet, helpful, caring and giving as you.  We love you so much!! <3 <3 <3
