Home

We're finally moved and starting to settle into our new home.  What we'd like to stay as our forever home.  Nestled on an acre lot in a peaceful and private neighborhood with almost 3000sq ft. and it is perfect for our family.  Not too extravagant for our needs, but fits us very well especially as we start our homeschooling adventure.

It has been a long and grueling process--especially the days of moving boxes--I am still overly exhausted and I think my adrenals are shot.  But, it is all worth it to be here in such a peaceful place where the kids have barely even asked where the tv is (we're not putting it in the living room but upstairs instead).

The house was built with a whole second mother in law wing with a second kitchen, dining room & living room which we are going to use for our school area.  The girls' have the bedroom suite off that area with a private bathroom with a walk in closet inside.  They have spent a lot of time just sitting and giggling inside the closet.

Play area outside the girls' room

View into the 2nd kitchen (I've put school stuff in those cabinets and we are going to keep snack food/kids' food in that fridge.)

Bright school room with door to the deck outside.

View from the kitchen into the play area.

Girls' room- excuse the mess

 Girls' bath

Sliding doors on either side of their closet.  It is so big we put their dresser in here.  This is "Lilly's side". They love it in here.  We need to put in a closet organization system in here.

Again, excuse all the boxes, tubs, etc.

 Very open living area

Jack decided he wants to wear a helmet all day, haha

Walk in pantry

Jack & Luke's room- haven't set up the crib yet.  He's still in a pack in play in our bedroom for now since he wakes up screaming in the middle of the night from teething pain now.  I didn't take a pic from the other angle, but it has custom painting all around it.   It's as though the rooms in the house were already painted for our kids and gender arrangement.
Sean's room.

I haven't taken pics of our room because it is too full of boxes, lol.  But I love the serenity of the scene looking out into the backyard.  And the huge walk in closet helps a bit too ;)

But, of course, outside is my favorite.  I've got big plans for out here!  We want to cut down some of the trees to encourage more grass to grow out in the wooded area and create more defined natural areas.

Morning view for coffee on the front porch.

Oh, and the crawl space is so huge you can stand up in in.  So Jon has plans to pave it inside to make a workshop/basement.  Big plans.
