After two months of "cruising" holding onto furniture/walls/people Brilee decided to let go and walk all by herself! And of all places, we were at Discovery Place in the Kids' zone where there were lots and lots of kids around! I had thought she was reserved to let go at home because Sean & Lilly always run around and I thought she was trying to keep from getting knocked down. However, she didn't seem to mind today and she kept letting go from one area to another! So, thanks to my handy dandy smartphone, I was able to capture her on video for Jon (and other family & friends!) to share in this momentous milestone!
I tried to take pictures while the kids were playing, but it was hard to keep up with 3 busy kids AND try to take pictures :) And I didn't want to be THAT mom that didn't seem to be watching her kids for having my phone and camera out constantly. Plus, though the pictures are good, nothing will top the excitement of Brilee's first steps by herself! I'm just too excited!
