Decking the Halls

We decorated the tree this afternoon (after letting the snow/rain dry that was on it from the mountains yesterday!)  The kids are so excited to have the tree up, and so am I except that we will be vacuuming needles off the floor about 10 times a day from now till the end of December!  Here's a look at our Christmas decor!

The kids' stockings
 Our stockings :)
Our advent calendar.  The kids love opening up a door everyday to add the day's magnet to the nativity scene and we also have a bible verse in each box that tells of the Christmas story.
Sean putting a pine cone on the tree (these came from my parents' long leaf pine tree 9 years ago when I  spray painted them for our first Christmas together--they're some of my favorite tree decorations!)
 Lilly hanging a pine cone
Sean tooting the trumpet.  (I played the trumpet in HS marching band and got this at one of our band Christmas parties)
 Brilee enjoying watching with daddy
they hung all the ornaments down low (I had to take many of them and move them up higher!)

Brilee just hanging out in front of the tree
we couldn't get a smile out of her--she was ready for a nap at this point

We started a tradition to get a ornament for each of the kids each Christmas from Hallmark.  Below are some of them.

Lilly's first Christmas ornament from the Fairy series--it was Lily fairy in 2008 the year of her 1st Christmas :)

Sean's first Christmas ornament and Lilly's 2nd Christmas ornament

 Sean's 2nd Christmas ornament

3rd Christmas (he'll get his 4th Christmas ornament this year as he was born Dec 29th and was almost 1 at his first Christmas, so he'll be almost 4 this year at Christmas)

Two angel ornaments for our two heaven babies (given to me by a friend who had also experienced several pregnancy losses).

I couldn't get a good picture of the tree lit up because the lighting was too bad and I didn't have the patience to set the camera up on a tripod like Jon suggested to get a shot where it wouldn't be blurry.  Hope everyone else enjoyed/will enjoy decking their halls too!
