Fall is in the air!

We have sure been enjoying this nice, cooler weather this week!  My parents came into town Sunday afternoon for the week, and I have definitely taken advantage of the 2 extra set of hands!  We've gone to the park a few times this week and we went swimming at the Y twice.  Tuesday was the last day it was open in the morning, due to school starting on Wednesday, but it is still open from 4-8pm for the next week I think.  So, we will definitely have to go as much as we can until then!

Sean starts back to Preschool next week at First Baptist Matthews Weekday Preschool.  He loves it there and can't wait to go back!  His open house is Tuesday where he will get to meet his teachers and friends, and Thursday is the first day.  I'm hoping to have some good one one one time with Lilly since I haven't really had a chance to work with her at all on things like letters and numbers.  I feel like I've been slack her in this area, and I don't want her to feel like the "neglected middle child!"  Hopefully she will start preschool next year when she can be in a 2 year old class.  Due to her late birthday, she would have had to be in a 1 year old class this year, and I just didn't want that.

Below are a few pictures of our week so far.  Grandma and grandpa leave tomorrow, so we've got to fit in as much fun as we can while they're still here!

I wish I could delete my expression out of this picture...but it was a good one of the kids, so I kept it in

Brilee playing on the floor during 1&2's naptime...she was having fun!

Blurry picture, but none of the ones of her smiling came out well...she has Sean's grin here.  She has been smiling more and more these days--especially at the kids.  I know they enjoy seeing her interact with them.

She got fussy because she bonked herself in the face with her own fist...gotta learn how to use those hands!

She is reminding me more and more of Sean when he was a baby.  She has his same mannerisms and is doing things he did at this age that Lilly didn't do until later (i.e. trying to stand up on her legs on the nursing pillow while I'm burping her over my shoulder and holding her head up really well on her own already.)  She definitely looks more like Sean than Lilly at this point, but I can see her own uniqueness too.  I'm so blessed with my three children, and sometimes I wonder why God chose me as their mother. I have so many shortcomings and growing to do in areas--especially having a happy heart & attitude when I haven't had much sleep or they are all grumpy and cranky.  I'm praying to learn more everyday that it is not my convenience and happiness that matters, but to pour all the energy that I have (and beyond to what I don't) into them so they can grow to love Christ.  I am convicted everyday of my inability to fulfill this to the level that I should.  Striving to grow right along with these little ones in my relationship with God.
