Lilly's 8th Birthday Party

I love Pinterest.  It makes parties so easy because I don't have to be creative.  Confession:  I can't get on Pinterest just to browse or else I'd be there for hours, so I have to only go when I'm looking for specific ideas!  This was such a fun party to plan because it was so sugar-filled :)

Memory Orb Treats- aka Trix/Cap'n Crunch All Berries marshmallow treats

Sadness' Tearful Punch (Blue Raspberry Lemonade)

Bing Bong's Tears

Anger's Flaming HOT mix
So, it wasn't ALL sugar, but close enough- at least they got a few veggies ;)
Disgusting's Veggie Tray
This was the only food item that was my idea- the Pinterest page had Fearful Fruit Kabobs---who is afraid of fruit?!
Fearful Twists

The cake also inspired by a picture from Pinterest

Rainbow layers- the top layer was purple & blue

Also, thanks to Pinterest, we had this cute memory orb craft where I took a picture of Lilly with all her friends so they could each take a memory home.  I loved this!

I was so drawn to the blue sparkly glitter at the store that I forgot blue represented the sad memories in the movie!  oops!!  Should have bought gold, but, hey, it still looks cute and at least it's sparkly.

It was a beautiful afternoon to play outside- they all had fun piling on the tree swing.  I forgot to take pics of the zipline, but that was also lots of fun too.

We played Inside Out Bingo, but since I was calling the cards, I didn't get any pictures!  They all won tons of candy (Bing Bong Tears) :)
Then, of course it was time for cake.  I forgot to buy ice cream to go with it, but I think we had plenty of sugar already...

The boys sat at their own table.  Baha

Lilly had so much fun opening her gifts- her friends were very sweet and generous!

The Pogo Stick was a huge hit.....except....it has a minimum weight of 80 pounds and Lilly had a hard time trying to bounce on it!  All the girls tried, except they are all light weights too!  So, Sean tried to claim it as his own, which resulted in tears from Lilly.  I assured her that it is still her gift, even though he could get it to bounce more.  He'll just break it in for her so it gets more bounce to the spring.  ;)
What sweet memories!  I'm so thankful for another year with our first girl!  She's always smiling, always helpful and very giving.  Praise God for His blessing our family with this sweet girl! <3
