Jon and the girls up on the train bridge
The kids were so excited to see our friend, Mr. Stephen driving the Chick-fil-a car! You would think they had seen a celebrity the way they were calling to him.
This is the wagon Sean was riding in. He is sitting in the front left corner in this picture. We yelled and called his name as loudly as we could and he never looked up to wave. He was busy eating a snack they had given them on the wagon, haha. If you click on the picture and view it larger you can actually see him sitting there :)
A fan that Lilly got from one of the floats going by (the last one left!)
That evening we went to friends from church's house for a cookout. We had a great time and the kids enjoyed outside fun set up by the gracious hostesses. They also enjoyed sparklers that Jon brought along. Everyone gathered around him asking, "Can I have another one?" All at the same time :) He couldn't light them fast enough, so at one point, Mr. Niel lit a whole box at once and had a huge torch of them on fire so big he had to drop them, haha. Didn't get a pic of that...
The next day I took Lilly on our special one on one time together that Jon and I have promised the kids. She wanted to go to TCBY and ended up enjoyed a HUGE bowl of yogurt that she fixed all by herself....mostly full of gummy bears & worms. That cup cost over $6 just by itself!
All this week, Sean is at the summer camp at Hunter Farm and the girls are going to a VBS at the church just up the road from us. So, I have some semi-one on one time with Jack every morning. I told him if we went to the park I'd get him frozen yogurt also afterwards, but he had to be patient and let mommy get in my workout for the day first by doing sprints. He screamed the whole time. I'm sure everyone we passed thought we were crazy. Oh, well, 15 min of sprints at 1 min. intervals isn't too shabby I guess. Stopping to stretch by the view of the lake.
FINALLY get got to play on the playground. I haven't taken any of the kids to this small park at Francis Beatty Park since Lilly busted her chin on this very ladder behind Jack when she was less than 2 years old. I remember Brilee was a baby and I had to tote them all to the ER with me for her to get stitches. I wouldn't let Jack climb this without me holding on to him because he was wearing his crocs! I didn't want a dejavu experience...
The boys swinging together :)
Jack enjoying his yogurt. I filled his cup or it would have been overflowing...
